1. Who we are

Jia Li (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a China sourcing and procurement services business. Our team operates from the Guangzhou and Foshan area, and our registered address is Room B053, 6th Floor, International Building, No. 53 Renmin Avenue, Haidian Subdistrict, Meilan District, Haikou City, Hainan Province, China.

We help importers — principally in Nigeria and elsewhere in Africa — find suppliers, verify factories, check products before payment, and buy from Chinese suppliers and platforms. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we handle when you use our website, our forms, or communicate with us.

2. Information we collect

We collect only what we need to quote for and deliver our services:

  • Contact details — name, company name, email address, WhatsApp or phone number, and the country you are based in.
  • Project information — the products you are sourcing, quantities, budgets, timelines, supplier details you share with us, and specifications.
  • Messages — what you send us through our website forms, WhatsApp, email or phone, including photographs, product links and documents you choose to share.
  • Payment records — confirmation of invoices, deposits and receipts. We do not collect or store your card details or bank account numbers on our website.
  • Technical data — basic device and browser information when you visit our website.

We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal data, and you should not send us any.

Where you submit one of our forms, we also record that you accepted our Terms of Service and this Privacy Policy, together with the date and time, as evidence of consent.

3. How we use your information

  • To respond to quote requests and consultation bookings, and to follow up on enquiries.
  • To carry out the service you engage us for — contacting suppliers, arranging factory visits, preparing reports, placing orders and coordinating delivery.
  • To prepare quotations, invoices and receipts, and to keep proper accounting records.
  • To send you updates about your project by email, WhatsApp or phone.
  • To improve our services, and to maintain the security of our systems.

4. How we share your information

We do not sell your data. We share limited information only with:

  • Suppliers, factories and agents we engage on your behalf — and only what is necessary to source, verify or fulfil your order. We do not pass on your full contact details to a supplier without your agreement.
  • Service providers who help us operate, such as email delivery, messaging platforms and website hosting.
  • Legal and regulatory authorities, where we are required by law to do so.

5. WhatsApp and messaging

Much of our client communication happens over WhatsApp, because it is the fastest way to share product photographs and supplier details. Messages exchanged that way are also subject to WhatsApp’s own terms and privacy policy, in addition to this one. You can ask us to stop contacting you on WhatsApp at any time.

6. International transfers

Our team is in China and most of our clients are in Nigeria and elsewhere in Africa. Delivering our services necessarily involves transferring information across borders — for example, sending a specification to a factory in China, or a report back to you.

Depending on where you are based, laws such as the Nigeria Data Protection Act and the People’s Republic of China Personal Information Protection Law may apply to that handling. By engaging us, you understand that your information will be processed in China for the purpose of delivering the service you have asked for.

7. Data retention

We keep project and communication records for as long as you are an active client, and for a reasonable period afterwards to meet legal, tax and accounting obligations. You may ask us to delete your data at any time — see section 9.

8. Security

We protect your information using industry-standard measures and restrict access to team members who need it. No system is perfectly secure, but we work continuously to safeguard what you share with us.

9. Your rights

You have the right to ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected, or to have it deleted. You can also withdraw consent to marketing communications at any time. To exercise any of these rights, email us at jialitrade.co@gmail.com.

10. Children

Our services are for businesses and are not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced on this website. Continued use of our services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
